Sometimes a spark of color is what you need to brighten up the corporate atmosphere. It also gives your co-workers a glimpse of your personality. I learned in Marketing that color has meaning, and many companies use it to evoke a feeling in their customers. It’s the same way in fashion; this multi-color silk blouse with a white collar and cuffs and a navy-blue pocket from goodwill was my corporate statement. The red represented strength and determination; the navy blue represented power and authority; white implied fairness and independence. I paired this blouse with skinny black pants, loafers, and a clutch. The outfit was so simple, but yet a necessary corporate statement.
