Our skin takes a beating on a day-to-day basis. Every time we step outside of our home, our skin is continuously under attack by environmental conditions, stress, diet, and hormones. We all are guilty of neglecting our skin due to our busy schedule; Why not take advantage of this lazy weekend to give your skin the proper tender, love, and care with Eminence’s Hungarian Herbal Mud Treatment. This treatment is suitable for detoxifying your skin of impurities, opening your pores, and regenerating your skin cells all in five minutes. Let me take you through my step-by-step process of using this treatment.
Step Two: Apply Treatment I appy a thin layer of Eminence’s Hungarian Herbal Mud Treatment on my face and leave it on for five minutes. Note: this treatment is powerful, so I recommend diluting it with water first.
Step Four: Apply Serum After five minutes, wash the treatment off. Note: Due to the increased circulation from the treatment, you may experience a tingling sensation for 20 minutes and redness for up to 45 minutes.
Here is my skin fully detoxed and refreshed. I use this treatment once a week.
My Favorite Five Ingredients:
Hungarian Thermal Mud: has a high amount of mineral trace elements, and sulfur which improves acne conditions and nourishes the skin; the mud reduces sebum production, improves skin’s texture, tone, and vitality.
Cinnamon – conditions the skin and revitalizes its appearance.
Paprika -has an enormous amount of vitamin C source that fights the aging effects of free radicals to protect and brighten your skin.
Sunflower Seed Oil – acts as an emollient to keep the skin well hydrated.
Acai– unclog pores and encourage the regeneration of skin cells.
I’m an advocate for exfoliating your skin! There are times when our skin goes through a season of dryness, and we need an occasional body scrub to help revitalize and restore new skin cells. Some of your local Spa’s offer this type of treatment, But if you are on a budget, like me, then applying Shea Moisture Daily Hydration Creme Sugar Scrub two to three times a week will suffice. This product can successfully remove dead skin cells and encourages natural cell renewal while keeping the skin moisturized. I use a significant amount on my palms and gently rotate in a circular motion on my body for one minute and then wash off with warm water. After each use, my skin feels soft, smooth, and moisturized.
Four Main Ingredients: Sucrose (Sugar)- Stearate that fills in tiny spaces between the cells improving the skin’s texture. Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil) – detoxifies the skin by pulling out toxins that help get rid of acne. Caprylic/ Capric Triglyceride- creates a barrier on the skin’s surface, which helps to reduce skin dryness. Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)- is an emollient and moisturizer that hydrates and smooths the skin.
In everyday makeup, you will find toxic ingredients that are linked to allergies, irritation, harming your reproductive system, or even causing cancer. Now in days, makeup brands are becoming more conscious of what they put in their products. But be mindful of products claiming to be vegan, but still have ingredients that cause harm to your body. I prefer a brand that prides itself on product safety and organic ingredients like ILIA does. Their True Skin Serum Concealer is a favorite product of mines. This lightweight creamy concealer has a serum texture that adds moisture while perfectly blending into the skin to brighten the dark circles under the eye. It is best to apply this concealer under the eye before blending your foundation. According to Bobbi Brown, you should find a concealer with a yellow tone that is one to two shades lighter than your skin to lighten the dark circles under the eyes.
I’ve listed two safe ingredients that give this product an advantage over the concealers that are currently in the market right now:
Albizia Julibrissin Bark Extract– protects collagen and elastin, and reduces the signs of under-eye bags, dark circles, and a dull complexion. Tetrabexyldecyl Ascorbate– is a very stable oil-soluble Vitamin C that has an antioxidant activity that helps stimulate collagen production as well as clarifying and brightening the skin.
For those of you who are looking for vegan skincare products, I would recommend subscribing to the Detox Box. It’s a little pricey, but it’s worth the money! Each month, you are surprised with different green skincare and beauty products. In this particular box, I received Herbivore’s face oil collection. My initial thought was, “What the hell am I supposed to do with face oil?” Since I spend $55 a month for this box, it wouldn’t hurt to have an open mind to try these products out. Especially since Herbivore is the creator of my favorite mask, “Blue Tansy.” I should’ve known that I’ll have the same reaction to their facial oils. I’m excited for you to see my take on each oil from the collection. See below:

The direction says that you could use it as often as you can. Since I have sensitive skin, using it before I go to bed each night works better for me.

I didn’t know that it was possible to have a face oil specifically for oily skin. There’s a misconception that when you have oily skin, there’s no need to apply much moisture after washing your face because we can produce natural oils for our skin. But lack of humidity can cause sebum buildup. Lapis oil allows my skin to replenish natural oil that balances the oil levels in my skin and controls my blemishes. Fun Fact: I like to use this oil as a primer before applying my foundation.

It’s hot out there! I hope everyone is using protection, that is SUN PROTECTION! My go-to product for the summer is Clear Zinc Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 by Babo Botanicals. This non-nano mineral-based sunscreen is a triple threat; It protects you from UVA/UVB rays, serves as a moisturizer, and it’s vegan. Clear Zinc Sunscreen Lotion has a non-nano Zinc Oxide ingredient that provides the safest and best protection from the sun without entering the bloodstream. A lot of sunscreens on the market has chemicals; such as Oxybenzone and Octinoxate that causes premature aging, wrinkles, dark spots, and affects the reproductive health. When you bring up Zinc Oxide to someone who experienced summers in the 1970s; they’ll flashback to a thick white sunblock on the nose that their parents forced them to wear. Babo Botanicals has transformed this mineral-based sunscreen to a non-greasy formula that will leave your skin moisturized and eliminates the old fashioned thick white sunscreen.
Clear Zinc Sunscreen Lotion has 10 organic ingredients in this products; Here are my favorite four: 1.) Aloe Barbandenis Leaf (Aloe Vera Gel) – Accelerates the healing of burns. 2.) Argania Spinosa (Argan) Oil – nourishes, protects, elasticity, and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. 3.) Butyrospermum Parkii Shea Butter – skin conditioning agent, helps retain moisture and reduces the appearance of rough patches. 4.) Chamomile Recuitita (Chamomile) Extract -relieves inflammatory skin conditions and calms sensitive skin.
I have my days with my skin; Sometimes it has a beautiful glow and other times I look like a 12-year-old girl going through puberty. When I experience blemishes, it gets hard for me to feel comfortable leaving the house without wearing makeup. Herbivore Botanicals: Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask has helped with my occasional skin insecurities. It has cleansed my skin of any access oil and blemishes. I apply this product on clean skin for 15-20 minutes and then rinse with warm water. The results are phenomenal! Osea is a non-toxic, vegan and organic skin care line that uses our earth’s most significant resources to help clean, restore and bring moisture back to our skin. I have very oily skin, and a lot of products that I used in the past were too harsh because of the ingredients. I was in search of an organic cleanser for oily skin, and that’s when I came across Osea’s Ocean Cleansing Mud on Follain’s website for vegan products. This product was just what I needed! It’s a light exfoliating clarifying cleanser that successfully removed impurities without stripping my skin of its natural oil. I felt a huge difference after washing my face; there was a clean and soft finish that gave my skin a fresh glow before applying moisturizer. Who would’ve thought seaweed, plants, salt, and essential botanical oils could leave a lasting impression on my skin?
There are five main ingredients that my skin agreed with:
Fucus Vesicular Extract– brown seaweed use for improving skin texture, and restoring moisture levels to the surface.
Tea Tree Oil– Combats oil skin.
Peppermint– has calming, softening, toning, and anti-inflammatory effects on the skin.
Bilberry Extract– supports healthy circulation, and has inflammatory benefits associated with skin brightening and conditioning effects.
Jojoba Oil– enhances skin restorative properties.
This product retails for $44.00. If this price is too high, I would recommend purchasing the travel size for $16 before committing to the full size.
